Challenges

The PPL Center, an 8,500-seat multipurpose arena and home to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, required a comprehensive technology strategy to support its operations and entertainment offerings. The challenge was to coordinate and integrate a wide range of systems—including public WiFi, AV, LED displays, ticketing, POS, and broadcast—into a cohesive and reliable infrastructure.

Solutions

Metinteractive was engaged by Brooks Sports Group and Hammes Sports Development Group to review, modify, and manage the arena’s entire technology package. Their scope included designing and building the production system, featuring Hitachi cameras and Ross Video switchers, routing, and graphics, ensuring the venue met the standards of a top-tier concert and sports facility.
