Project Description

Challenges

The Equity Project Charter School, located in Washington Heights, NYC, is nationally recognized for its commitment to educational equity through expert teaching. Serving over 1,000 students—91% Latinx and 8% African American, with nearly 30% English Language Learners and 22% receiving special education services—TEP relies heavily on advanced AV systems to support rigorous instruction in academics, arts, and athletics. However, persistent technical issues across multiple spaces—including unreliable Crestron streaming, projector failures, and audio inconsistencies—were disrupting instruction and limiting the effectiveness of their AV infrastructure.

Solutions

Metinteractive stepped in under a comprehensive Preventive Maintenance & Hours Plan, which included bi-annual site visits, remote support capabilities, and a dedicated service team. The team quickly diagnosed and resolved critical issues such as a faulty gymnasium projector, misconfigured audio zones, and damaged control interfaces. They also implemented a remote access system for faster troubleshooting and provided tailored cable management and system optimization across classrooms, the cafeteria, and performance spaces. Their proactive approach ensured minimal disruption and restored full AV functionality.

“Metinteractive fixed a technical issue that got us up and running instantly. We were so impressed, we switched to Metinteractive to support all our AV needs.”
