Project Description

Challenges

The Whitney Museum of American Art needed a sophisticated digital communications system for its new building designed by Renzo Piano. The challenge was to integrate dynamic content across multiple platforms—including web CMS and elevator systems—while maintaining aesthetic and functional harmony with the museum’s architectural vision.

Solutions

Metinteractive provided strategy, design, and development services, including the creation of custom 72” double-sided LCD blade signs for the Largo plaza. The AV system was powered by over 20 DS-series content players and a CM-100 content server, all managed through Metinteractive’s proprietary Fractal Media Engine 2.0. The solution enabled seamless digital content delivery and enhanced visitor engagement.
