Challenges
The Metropolitan Pier and Exhibition Authority (MPEA) needed to unify operations and deliver advanced AV systems for a new 10,000-seat, multi-use arena at McCormick Place—an unprecedented undertaking for a convention center. The challenge was to manage and integrate all technology systems while coordinating with multiple stakeholders and maintaining high standards for performance and flexibility.
Solutions
Metinteractive was initially retained to furnish the video production system and later took on full program management responsibilities for all technology. Their work included coordinating with DePaul University, MPEA, design consultants, and system providers to ensure seamless integration and operational excellence across the venue’s AV infrastructure.
